D-Link 8-Port Gigabit PoE Smart Managed Switch – DGS-1100-08P

The DGS-1100-08P provides both data and power over Ethernet to network devices, simplifying deployments of IP cameras, access points, and VoIP phones. Each of the 8 ports supports IEEE 802.3af PoE, sharing a total budget of 64 W, allowing you to eliminate separate PoE injectors. This switch also supports advanced Layer-2 features such as VLAN segmentation, QoS prioritization, IGMP snooping, static MAC filtering, and storm control, enabling better traffic management in business or surveillance networks.

Energy efficiency is built in, reducing power consumption when traffic is low or ports are idle. The fanless design ensures silent operation, suitable for noise-sensitive environments. The switch’s metal form factor can be desktop-mounted or rack-mounted to match deployment needs.

With a large switching capacity and high forwarding rate, the DGS-1100-08P can handle robust traffic loads while maintaining performance. It includes a large MAC address table and a packet buffer to manage traffic bursts effectively. The device supports store-and-forward switching to verify packet integrity before transmission and implements flow control to manage congestion. Diagnostic tools like cable diagnostics and loopback detection help with deployment and fault resolution.

Management is simple, covering VLAN setup, bandwidth control, PoE monitoring, and system status through an intuitive web GUI. The DGS-1100-08P delivers intelligent, silent, and reliable performance for powering and connecting devices in small offices, surveillance systems, or wireless networks.
