The DES-1210-28P is a versatile Web Smart PoE switch designed for business networks requiring reliable power and data over a single infrastructure. With 24 10/100 Mbps PoE ports and 4 Gigabit ports (2 fixed, 2 combo for RJ45 or SFP), the DES-1210-28P provides flexibility in connectivity for both copper and fiber links. Its PoE capability supports both IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at standards, allowing up to 15.4 W to 30 W per port depending on device needs and switch budget.
For management, the DES-1210-28P offers a rich set of Layer 2 features including VLAN segmentation, QoS (802.1p), link aggregation, spanning tree protocols, ACLs, and monitoring tools such as loopback detection and cable diagnostics. It also supports Auto Voice VLAN and Auto Surveillance VLAN (ASV) modes, which automatically identifies and isolates traffic types like VoIP and video, giving them priority and simplifying configuration.
Powering deployment further, the switch includes time-based PoE, allowing administrators to schedule when PoE ports are active, conserving power during off-hours. Its design is fanless for noise-free operation and built with a metal chassis for durability. With compact size and flexible port options, DES-120P-28P is well suited for surveillance systems, IP telephony, and converged network environments.
